Dr. C. MacDonald Worley, Jr

Dr. C. MacDonald Worley, Jr was born and raised near Kennesaw, Georgia.  After graduating second in his class from the Medical College of Georgia’s Dental School in 1988, he completed four years of hospital-based residency training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at VCU’s Medical College of Virginia.  He then remained at MCV for two more years, completing a medical degree (M.D.) program.  Next he moved to Santa Barbara, California for an internship in General Surgery; this three year post-residency term reinforced the knowledge he had gained and his understanding of individuals with complex medical problems.

Finally Dr. Worley was privileged to complete a Fellowship program in California at the Center for Corrective Jaw Surgery, a prolific private practice led by Drs. William Arnett and James Tamborello.  There he worked with two of the most experienced & innovative OMF Surgeons in the nation.  Dr. Arnett is one of the most skilled facial surgeons alive today, while Dr. Tamborello specialized in Implant Dentistry.

In 1997 Dr. Worley opened a solo practice in Georgia, where he maintained a successful practice for 17 years.  At Mountain View Oral Surgery & Dental Implants, he gained a reputation among professional colleagues for leading coordinated Team doctor approaches that delivered functionally and cosmetically pleasing solutions to some of the most challenging dental disabilities.  These solutions often required the use of dental implants.  Gentleness, professionalism, and high quality are traits that prompted many previous patients to refer their family members and friends for care.

Since leaving Georgia in 2014, Dr. Worley has been actively involved in private practice work in Tennessee and now has joined our group in West Virginia.  His unique professional skills and personal warmth will be a valuable addition to our practice.

Board-certified (www.aboms.org) since 1998, Dr. Worley is licensed in dentistry and medicine, as well as specialty licensure in oral & maxillofacial surgery and general anesthesia.  Between 1992 & 1999 he co-authored six publications in four different professional Journals.

Blessed to have been married since 1990, is a father of three.  Spare time is spent with his family or tinkering with any number of handyman projects.  Though he feels a keen duty to Christian stewardship and his calling, he tries not to take himself too seriously.  Gratitude, joy and laughter truly can be the best medicines.  Micah 6:8
